Engagement Session On the Halifax Ferry
Scheduled for one of the coldest days of 2023 Sarah, Zach and I carried on with the plans to photo adventure on the ferry from Dartmouth to Halifax. Although it was freezing it didn’t stop us from collecting some warm and fuzzy photos.
I love doing engagement photos. It is a great practice run for the big day and for getting comfortable in front of the camera. Choosing to do something a bit out of ordinary is always so much fun. It was great to get the skyline of Halifax and roll with the dramatic wind.
I loved playing with the colour tones in the ferry terminals inspired by Sarah’s beautiful green coat. Catching some Wes Anderson-inspired cinematic vibes for the photos. The ferry terminals were a bevy of inspiration.
The Halifax harbourfront is a delicious spot for photos, especially at twilight. The “Tidal Beacon” at Queens Marque was a romantic backdrop completed with an almost full moon.
Making our way indoors to the lobby at the Residence of The Queens Marque, we still held on to the cinematic vibe. I love photographing engagement sessions downtown Halifax. Such a romantic city with wonderful art. There is so much variety and inspiration for all types of photography.
Consider an engagement session before your wedding day and connect with yours truly if you are up for a photo adventure!
